Lands of heartbreak

With what cost did I suffer.
Where things are left to rot.
Of places we don't rush for.
And places that are not.

Where sadness reeks the land.
Heartbreak fills the sky.
And loneliness lends a helping hand.
With tears you can not cry.


The sun does not shine.
And the moon does not glow.
With out life to pine.
With out things to grow.

The sky is always black.
The ground is as well.
There is no turning back,
to the tolling of the bell.

Forward you will pace.
Empty handed and empty hearted.
To this vile unspeakable place.
And this life that you have started.

When the angels come to see,
with wings of purest light.
It casts on what came to be,
and the lands of eternal night.

With outstretched hands,
soullessly reaching out.
With the high demands,
which are screamed about.

All will be turned back away.
The light it leaves this place.
The angels in utter dismay.
The residents in disgrace.

To climb this mountian, is what is left.
To find the way out is mission set.
So up I climb, this mighty heft.
To leave this world of regret.
